Welcome to Barrow Hills Golf Club |
The course will be
CLOSED
From:
Saturday the 4th to Thursday the 9th September (inclusive)
as well as the 11th & 12th September all day
and until 2pm on the 26th.
Please check the diary and club notice
boards for details of next competition.
Note to Committee members:
Due to the closures, the venue for the meeting scheduled for
Monday (6th September) will not be the clubhouse.
The Committee Secretary will be contacting you with the details.
Please be aware, that there is a strand of Japanese Knotweed close to the golf course car park and physical work to eradicate it will begin in the next two weeks. Once this work commences, a few car parking spaces will have to be closed off to prevent the spores being transferred as this is a non-native invasive alien species that can cause significant problems if growth is unchecked. Even small amounts of the plant can regenerate into new plants if spread (eg on car tyres) therefore the specialiasts need to erect a small exclusion zone. Please watch this website for further updates and once the date for this work is known it will be posted here.
